I have been a Registered Veterinary Technologist for almost 30 years and I am honoured to witness and care for the bond people have with their pets.
Early in my career, a special cockatiel named Clyde sparked my love for birds. I happily spend part of my time as the Senior Registered Veterinary Technologist at the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre.
My family and I are currently being held captive by a spicy calico cat named Miss Sally Mae (“Min” for short). She is uncompromisingly evil. I continue to learn the nuances of aberrant feline behaviour from her and have the deepest empathy for people who own “challenging” pets. When I can escape the house I head to the St. Lawrence River to scuba dive. I enjoy reading, falling off my paddle board, listening to my son play guitar, and puttering around in my perennial gardens.
