Vaccines

Vaccinating your puppy or kitten is a crucial step in their early healthcare, protecting them from preventable diseases and ensuring they can safely explore their environment. Puppy vaccines and kitten vaccinations begin at 8 weeks old, with a series of shots completed by 16-18 weeks. Keep your pet healthy with a vet-recommended vaccination schedule tailored to their needs!

Deworming / preventatives

Intestinal parasites are common in young puppies and kittens, potentially causing nutritional deficiencies, weight loss, and delayed growth. Regular puppy deworming and kitten deworming ensure your pet stays healthy and parasite-free. This simple and effective treatment is an essential part of early pet care—be sure to ask your vet about it during your puppy or kitten vet appointment!

Spaying and neutering referrals

Unfortunately we are not able to offer spays/ neuters at this time due to the nature of our mobile clinic, but our team is happy to help refer you to a clinic to have the surgery done. We partner with clinics in the area and can even do the pre-op bloodwork in home for you!

Frequently
Asked Questions

The team comes to your home for a scheduled time and can set themselves up wherever you prefer. Folks often let their pet rest in their favourite spot on the couch, in their cherished bed, or we can even do it outside if that’s best! The team will have a discussion with you, answer any questions you may have about the procedure and can do a quality of life assessment on your pet if you wish. When you are ready, the team will inject your pet with sedation to make them nice and sleepy. It takes about 10-15 minutes for this sedation to fully kick in, at which time your pet will be fully asleep. Doing the sedation first ensures a very peaceful, pain free procedure for your pet who won’t even feel the next poke. Once they are sleeping, and when you are ready, the team puts a catheter into an accessible leg to ensure smooth administration of the medication. They then do a series of 2 injections that allows your pet to pass quickly and peacefully. The entire procedure is very comfortable and peaceful for your pet, they won’t feel a thing. Just the love they are surrounded by in their final moments.

There are 3 vaccines available for cats- Rabies, FVRCP and FeLV. Rabies and FVRCP are core vaccines that are recommended to be given to all cats over the age of 8 weeks unless medically contraindicated.

Yes, it is recommended that you vaccinate your indoor cat, even if they never set one foot outside. The rabies vaccine is required by law, and rabies is an incurable, horrible disease if caught. Your cat could escape or a small mammal or bat could get into your home and infect your cat- so better to be safe than sorry!
