Everything Your Pet Needs in One Visit

Our hour-long puppy and kitten vet appointments in Hamilton allow plenty of time to assess your pet’s health, discuss nutrition, behavior, and training, and answer any questions you may have. With personalized guidance and a tailored wellness plan, we help set your new pet up for a happy and healthy life.

Vaccines

Vaccinations are essential in protecting your young pet from serious illnesses. Puppy vaccines and kitten vaccinations begin at 8 weeks old and continue on a structured schedule until 16-18 weeks. Our Hamilton mobile vet team ensures that your pet receives all core vaccines and any additional protections based on their lifestyle needs.

Deworming / preventatives

Puppies and kittens are often born with intestinal parasites, which can affect their growth and overall health. Our Hamilton mobile vet service provides routine deworming to eliminate parasites and protect your pet from future infestations. We also offer flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives to ensure long-term parasite protection.

Frequently
Asked Questions

The team comes to your home for a scheduled time and can set themselves up wherever you prefer. Folks often let their pet rest in their favourite spot on the couch, in their cherished bed, or we can even do it outside if that’s best! The team will have a discussion with you, answer any questions you may have about the procedure and can do a quality of life assessment on your pet if you wish. When you are ready, the team will inject your pet with sedation to make them nice and sleepy. It takes about 10-15 minutes for this sedation to fully kick in, at which time your pet will be fully asleep. Doing the sedation first ensures a very peaceful, pain free procedure for your pet who won’t even feel the next poke. Once they are sleeping, and when you are ready, the team puts a catheter into an accessible leg to ensure smooth administration of the medication. They then do a series of 2 injections that allows your pet to pass quickly and peacefully. The entire procedure is very comfortable and peaceful for your pet, they won’t feel a thing. Just the love they are surrounded by in their final moments.

There are 3 vaccines available for cats- Rabies, FVRCP and FeLV. Rabies and FVRCP are core vaccines that are recommended to be given to all cats over the age of 8 weeks unless medically contraindicated.

Yes, it is recommended that you vaccinate your indoor cat, even if they never set one foot outside. The rabies vaccine is required by law, and rabies is an incurable, horrible disease if caught. Your cat could escape or a small mammal or bat could get into your home and infect your cat- so better to be safe than sorry!
